Jim Winter ~ Tekero
"Two of my children are seen here and you can see the size comparison of two instruments. The larger one is a Tenor Tekero. I absolutely love it; made by the one and only, Mr. Balazs Nagy. What a great craftsman! The tuning is in D, so the unison melody strings (gut) are A just below middle C. the lowest string is low D, just below the bass staff. Length is 37" from the end of the axel to the very top. The wheel is 6½" in diameter. Strings are, to an extent, hand made; and the lowest bourdon is copper wound. Thank you so much Balazs"
